Won ton Soup |
I once again found myself at my favorite local establishment (no surprise there). I had a hankering for some won ton soup and my go to place for it is Pho Stanley. My little brother and I headed off
in the car for a bite to eat (his treat). It was around 3pm so the lunch rush had died down and we got our food quickly.Won ton Soup |
I usually associate won ton soup with Chinese restaurants but the soup at this Vietnamese place has always been my favorite. The cilantro adds such a nice flavor. This is comfort food to the max for me.

I have been to a couple Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver and they all have great values but Pho Stanley is where my heart and home is.
The interior of the restaurant is quite cozy and homely. Nothing fancy here just your typical hole in the wall food joint. I love the rooster brand hot sauce they have at the table. I bought a couple bottles for my house and it's great on eggs, rice, and pasta.
Be sure and check out my first First Pho Stanley Review
Below I have a few pictures of the restaurant.
I declared that im officially hungry
ReplyDeleteThose wontons look good...are they pork or shrimp?
ReplyDelete@anon, they're pork wontons, would be great
ReplyDeleteto have a mix of both, I love the texture of shrimp in wonton
darn, I was hoping they were shrimp...I really like their pork brochette there, it has a good flavor, very different from the lemongrass porkchop. I guess I will have to stick with Yummy Wonton House for shrimp wontons
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Yummy Wonton House, driven by so many times and have always wanted to pop
ReplyDeletein at least once since i've been living here so long
