Corn Dog Tots - A Great Appetizer

Corn Dog Tots

I don't normally cook because the recipes never turn out
how I'd like them to, well I finally got something right.

What you'll need

Vegetable Oil
2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup, plus 2 tablespoons, cornmeal
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne
1 large egg
1 cup, plus 2 tablespoons, buttermilk, shaken
1/4 cup corn starch
6 beef hot dogs, cut into 1-inch medallions

Instructions

-cut up the hot dogs into manageable sizes
-add the dry ingredients in one bowl and the wet in another
-mix them together to form the batter
- fill up a pot with the oil, about 2-3 inches high
- dip hot dogs in batter, place in the oil and cook for 3-4 minutes
- put the cooked corn dogs in the oven to keep warm while the others get fries
(place them on a baking sheet lined with paper towel).
- enjoy!
