ButterBeer and Pumpkin Juice - Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was for sure one of the highlights of our trip to Orlando. I must say bravo to Universal Studios to doing a fantastic job of creating the town of Hogsmeade, despite the fake snow in the 40+ degree weather.

For those of you who are unaware, Universal Studios in Orlando recently opened a new area in their Islands of Adventure called the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

One of the draws here was the Harry Potter themed beverages. In the books they drink Butter Beer and Pumpkin Juice..so that is exactly what they served here. I don`t think there was ever one point where there wasn`t a big line up to get some of this stuff.

I was happy enough to wait in line and snap a couple pictures with my camera.

We bought a couple bottles of the pumpkin juice (some to take home for friends). It had an interesting taste to it. To me it tasted like apple juice with pumpkin spices added. I wasn`t too sure how I felt about it. Part of me enjoyed it because it was so hot out and any cold liquid was great, but I was having trouble liking the combination of apple and pumpkin flavors.

So on either side of the keg they had a guy serving the drinks..these were not alcoholic by the way..i'm not sure if they do have alcoholic butter beer, someone care to enligthen me?

I ordered two, one in a regular plastic cup and the other in a collectors mug.

So butter beer is basically root beer with cream on the top. I'm sure this was great for those who love soft drinks, but my pancreas was working hard to regulate my blood sugar after drinking this (it was sweet).

This area of the park also had many stores that sold various Harry Potter candies and stuff from the movies/books. The main attraction Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was one of the best rides I have ever been on and I am not even that big of a fan.

That's all! This was a really neat place..if you like the movies and books this place is a must visit.
