Food on the Mountain- Whistler

When in Whistler, once you've taken the ride up the gondola you want to stay up there and ski. Personally a hard day of skiing really fires up the old appetite and not wanting to go back to the village one must acquire food on top of the mountain. Whistler and Blackcomb mountains house many restaurants from food courts to fine dining.

My first day of skiing I stopped at the midway station and went to  Beaver Tails Booth and got a hot dog  and cheese fries. Hot dog was great, loaded all the fixings up, onions, salsa, jalapenos. The fries were not really that great,  but when you're hungry and up on the mountain anything tastes good.

On day Two we skied Whistler mountain for a while and then took the peak to peak gondola over to Blackcomb mountain. We were pretty hungry by that time so we went to Rendezvous which was a food court and also hosted a nice restaurant. The prices were ridiculous but that's to be expected when on the mountain. I just grabbed a couple pieces of pizza, I needed lots of energy to hit the trails hard after. My girlfriend grabbed a bacon cheese burger, which I got to finish off, score!
Blackcomb hosted some amazing views, you feel like you are on top of the world, minus the crowds of people it is a really great experience.
For those not from Vancouver and are partial to skiing or snowboarding, you should definitely come visit Whistler. The mountain is beautiful and the village is a great place.
